Wednesday Noon.
Juuban High School.

The School as in their usual rush at break time... The students from class 2-5 had challenged the ones from class 2-8 to a soccer match as the school choir was preparing to enter a contest having some extra practice, giving a classic ambience to the grounds as their voices and the piano echoed all over the school facilities. Even the staff teachers allowed themselves a moment to listen at the boys and girls as Usagi and most of her friends were standing at the main building's roof.
'Still no news from Ami-chan?' Usagi asked to Makoto who shook her head in denial.
'No, her mother told me she found her asleep yesterday in the morning and she hasn't left her room at all. At first she believed it was just stress from all these courses and extra classes she uses to attend, but now that's almost two days of full sleep... she says that if she doesn't show any sign of moving, she'll have to take her to her hospital and have their partners to attend her.
'And by any chance you didn't ask Mizuno-sensei anything about Ami-chan's unusual present?' Minako asked her.
'No, it would have been a silly thing to do; she would have suspected about the book and that would have leaded us to a more problems.' Artemis said wisely.
'We can be sure about something, if Ami-chan had a reaction like this, she must have been able to solve the problem of getting some information from that book.' Luna said trying to comfort the girls.
'Yes, but at what price?' Usagi asked them as a few clouds passed on the sky.

'Mother, enlighten me...' Ami whispered to the book once again after checking once again she was alone at home as Saeko had left to the hospital that morning too.
'What is your doubt this time, my child?' Asked Queen Athari's voice from the depths of the book.
'I understood the origin and nature about the Keepers, but if they're supposed to be equal in their powers, how come just one of them can be stronger than the rest?'
'This is just a theory I had in store: Imagine that the balance among the Keepers is represented by having a piece of silk hanging from a ceiling, and each Keeper is a thread that holds the silk from falling to the ground, where it will stain or get stepped over. When an alien force acts like a person pulling  up or down a thread, even if them all are perfectly balanced and work as an equal, the order is broken and the leveling among the rest of the threads changes entirely.' The book answered passing its pages at a great speed
'So... you believe there's another force in play at this very moment?' Ami asked doubtfully as the book pages had come to a halt.
'I have not all the answers inside me, what new data you might have recorded on your own, will help you to solve that part of the riddle my dear child.' The book replied.
'What about the Dark Judgment Army, do you know them?'
'I have not all the answers inside me, what new data you might have recorded on your own, will help you to solve that part of the riddle my dear child.' The book replied once again
'Well... what about a man...' Ami asked thinking carefully how to explain his description to the book. And making a bold move, she grabbed a pencil from one of her recipients and proceeded to draw him.
The book remained silent for a few moments before turning its pages to a single picture of a person wearing a similar set of clothes.
'Little is known here at the Silver Millennium about these warriors but travelers and bards tell stories about a far star, enclosed since the dawn of time where skilled warriors, great men and women of science and talented diplomats live helping their close star relatives, living in peace and ensuring the safety of their home world... Nuagia Prima.'
'Oh I see... I understand now; so he's not an enemy?'
'To learn a person's intentions, the best method is to have a civilized conversation with that person.' The book replied.
'Thank you... just one more question, why I do feel so sleepy after talking with you?' Ami asked with a smile, she was getting too attached to the strange talking book.
'A mind link with an untrained mind is to stressful and consumes a large portion of your energy; as much as I'd love to keep on talking to you, you shouldn't push your limits. The time will come when we can talk more than a few questions, now rest, I'll be waiting for your questions and notes.' The book replied as Ami let go a big yawn before falling asleep in her bed again, but not after writing a note in a paper over her desk.

Mizuno Family Apartment.
Thursday Morning.

Saeko entered her house cautiously, she had a long and boring night at the hospital that day; automatically she turned her head to the kitchen's table where she usually found Ami having her breakfast before heading towards her school, but she found the sandwiches she had left the morning before in their place.
'Ami-chan... what's wrong with you?' She mumbled as she sharpened her hearing trying to hear the running water of the shower, but the house had the usual morning silence. Quietly she walked to her daughter's room and opened the door to have a peek inside it. Ami was sleeping deeply, Saeko sighed in resignation as she closed the door after delivering one last look in the room. A couple of seconds later she opened the door entirely and she entered the room in silence as she had noticed the paper labeled "To Mother. in the girl's desk.

  Dear Mother:

Please do not be worried about my unusual behavior these few last days; I'm just a bit stressed about a new book I got to read, that's all.

Maybe when I wake up we can go out to have a meal, just the two of us.

  Love
  Ami

Saeko read the note after what, she sighed in relief looking at the sleeping face of her daughter.
'Oh you're such a good girl Ami-chan...' She mumbled before kissing her forehead, 'But I expected it to be a boys issue...' the Doctor added a bit disappointed as she closed the door after leaving.

Thursday Evening.
Crown Parlor.

As soon as Usagi had received a phone call from Ami asking them to meet in one of their usual places, her heart leapt in joy and relief as they finally had some news from her friend, and by her voice during the call, she could realize they would have finally some guidance in this maze.
'First I want to apology for worrying you guys, but that book is a bit more complicated than it seems.' Ami said addressing to the group.
'Did you bring it?' Minako asked looking eagerly at Ami's bag.
'No, I left it in my house's safe, it's better that way.' Ami replied pulling a notebook instead.
'And...?' Usagi asked interested as Rei and Makoto were paying full attention to her friend's words. Ami opened her notebook and proceeded to draw some sketches on it as she spoke.
'The book, or at least the entity inside it, told me everything it knew about the Keepers and what they had collected in the Silver Millennium. In a brief way...' She said drawing a ceiling held by five pillars,  'A Keeper acts like a pillar that helps to protect the balance and stability of the universe, each one of them holding a specific weight, and when one of these pillars is affected some way...' She added crossing a pillar with some lines.
'The rest will not be able to hold on for so long...' Minako mumbled as Ami stared at them and nodded.
'But how come this could happen, they keep on sleeping and awakening too often and the universe is still here.' Makoto asked staring at the drawing.
'Because they hold a rotation cycle in wich a bonded soul awakens and takes the spot of the Great Keeper for their time; when her times comes she passes on and allows the next one to be the one in charge, however, sometimes more than one awakens and that's when conflict arises...' Ami replied drawing several persons in her notebook.
'So this little boy is just as strong as Usagi?' Makoto asked taking Usagi's head as Rei and Minako stared at Ami
'Well I believe so, just remember how he wiped the ground with us.' Ami replied remembering the battle they had in the park.  'The main problem is that each one of these four Keepers can be the Supreme one.'
'How come?' Mars asked confused as her hear began to pound a bit faster.
'Queen Athari told me that the Keepers are indeed parts of the same soul that spliced eons ago; each one following its chosen path, no matter if they ended up together or had to face each other, the cycle goes on. But that one Keeper, willing to take the mantle of the Supreme One,  needs to get hold of the other pieces of the Sacred Crystals  and ask the crystals to hand over their powers.'
'Heavy...' Minako mumbled when Ami finished her explanation.
'So Ookami-san and Hinomi-chan can be the Supreme One?' Usagi asked intrigued as Ami nodded. 'That's wicked...' she added as Ami giggled.
'But why you have been able to talk with us until now, what happened to you?' Rei asked as Ami stored her notebook once again.
'The book... Each time I talk with it I get really tired after that and I need to sleep more than usual. So if you'll excuse me girls, I want to go home and have a rest. I might not even go to school tomorrow too' She replied standing up and bowing her friends before leaving.
'Just to be sure... Did Ami just say that she wasn't going to be at school tomorrow and that she wanted to sleep instead?' Rei asked to Makoto who nodded with her eyes wide open.
'What's more crucial... Did she just tell us that she talks with a book and it replies at her?' Minako asked a bit more scandalized

*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*

'I'm so tired... But I needed to talk with them so they didn't had to worry about me... Ami thought as she walked back home trough the commercial district of Azabu Juuban. As summer was getting closer the days in the city were getting longer and the sun was setting over the horizon a bit later each passing day.
'A Keeper... I wonder what's their true nature?' Ami asked herself ignoring the person she had before her in the street cross. As she crashed against the person's back, Ami realized she was daydreaming and her mind had been wandering along the trail of knowledge she had just recently acquired.
'Hey, be careful! Don't you see I almost got hit by a car?' The man yelled at her angrily shaking her fist as the alluded car screeched a few more meters ahead and barely managed to avoid getting out of the street.
'I'm so sorry, are you OK over there?' The driver yelled at them as a group of curious had gathered to see the man arguing with Ami.
'So-Sorry sir...' Ami apologized bowing as the man merely scowled before walking away.
'Hey! The lady offered an apology!' The car driver yelled at the man who was now mixing with the crowd. Ami recognized the man's voice and then she realized she was staring at Unkaino Sensei getting down of his old car. 'Come back here and be a gentleman!'
'Sensei?' Ami asked at him as he was now next to her. 'It's OK, it's not a big deal.'
'Well, if you say so, but I'd have loved to make him see my point of view about persons like him...' Tenshi replied staring at the crowd. 'Do you want a ride? I was just getting back home from school...'
'Er... no, not now... I wanted to have a walk.' She replied politely.
'Still having problems?' Tenshi asked rising his left eyebrow as he narrowed his eyes.
'No, well not that problem anyway...'
'A new one?' Tenshi asked again. 'Come let's have a soda, you sure could use one. And maybe I can help you with your problem' He added pointing at the car.

*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*

The cafeteria was occupied by only a few persons, yet every single eye seemed to be upon the young couple sitting at one of the corners of the establishment, deep on their conversation.
'So, what I can get is that you have a special friend, don't you? And this friend of yours has a rather peculiar behavior.' Tenshi asked before having a gulp from his soda. Ami was staring at her hands over her legs as the icy soda in her side of the table was almost complete.
'Well, yes I'd lake to talk with him but the chance always seems to escape from us.'
'Maybe he likes to keep his secrets.' Tenshi replied, 'Most people appreciate their intimacy.'
'Yes, I know that but, I keep wondering if I can think of me as my friend.'
'Well, I'm just telling you something you might have heard already, but you need to get close to him and have a little conversation about topics: what, why, when, where and out of that you can get a general idea about him, you might not get all the complexity of the frame, but that's a better start than having nothing at all.' Tenshi replied placing his glass on the table and leaning over his chair.
'You think so... but he is always too elusive.'
'Well, maybe if you ask him kindly you can get the answer you want, I'm sure he can take a few moments of his time to listen to you.' Tenshi replied grinning at her.
'Yes... that would be nice...' Ami replied staring at the starry sky

Tuesday Afternoon.
Hikawa Shrine.

And time moved on the following two weeks; in wich nothing unusual happened at all over Tokyo streets. Usagi and the others had started to wonder if the enemies had retreated already, but as Ookami had mentionated last Sunday, it was more likely that Haruka kissed a man before Lord Caerentus decided to retreat, not when he was already in here, so close to their goals.

What was even more confusing was, that even when they hadn't seen any Acolyte or an actual Stalker these last days, people over the city was making absurd declarations of seeing strange creatures wandering over the city streets during after nightfall. Even when they were patrolling the city, the Stalkers had also seemed to be gone too.

'This is so boring...' Usagi pointed one peaceful afternoon at Hikawa Shrine. 'Makes me wish to be with Darien this night.' She mumbled as Chibiusa was leaning over the table writing an essay.
'Yes, but he's assigned to bet at guard tonight at the hospital, isn't he?' Ami asked, after her disappearance from the classrooms for almost a week, most people was wondering if she was heading to lose her status as the genius student, but to dismay of her detractors and rejoicement for her fans, she had managed to pull the first place at the national tests ranks for the 4th year in a row.
'And what is the advice of the sacred fire?' Minako asked to Rei as their friend was patting her crows outside of her room.
'Nothing... It went silent, not even my grandfather has managed to make an accurate prediction on it.' Rei replied as Deimos was rubbing its head over her right hand as Phobos was pecking the seeds on her right one.
'Well, this is most unusual... it doesn't feel right.' Makoto mumbled remembering how their former enemies made continual attacks, but this time they had suddenly came to a halt, as if they were up to something...
A thunder roared over their heads startling the five girls at Rei's bedroom, next to a strange roar coming from the sky. A small quake shook the floor below them as they dashed outside the room.
'What's going on?' Usagi yelled completely confused to Chibiusa as the darkness veil was spreading all over the city. Tokyo plunged into the darkness as the chosen background for the dreadful scene were the terrified and confused screams of the rest of the city's inhabitants.
'I can pick two... no three... wait, five... yes, five strong emanations of energy were falling over the city!' Rei said turning her head in several directions as the darkness veil almost had finished covering the city now as Phobos and Deimos hissed in clear discontent.
'What are they up to?' Minako asked just as confused as Usagi, meanwhile Makoto and Ami were analyzing Ami's data in her minicomputer.
'Impossible...' Ami mumbled lowering her gadget and staring the landscape of the city from Hikawa Shrine.
'What's wrong Ami-chan?' Makoto demanded at once.
Without a single sound coming from her mouth, Ami merely rised her hand pointing at the city as 5 large obelisks were falling scattered over the city as the darkness veil had covered the whole place.
'Oh you've gotta be shitting me...' Makoto mumbled in complete surprise as the strange formations began to glow.
'Ami-chan, talk to me...' Usagi asked as Ami was analyzing the strange apparitions as fast as she could.
'They seem to be some sort of crystals that drain the energy from the ground they are...' She replied as the data in her computer was being displayed at an amazing rate. 'And they're starting to redirect it to outer space...'
'Are they draining Earth's energy?' Minako asked as the glow began to increase. 'Is that what they want to do?'
'I don't know, but according to my prediction... considering the size of the structures and the rate of charge they'll be fully loaded in a few hours.' Ami replied as the rest of the girls were staring at her.
'And then what? What happens when these things are fully charged?' Usagi asked at once.
'I can't think of anything good coming from these things…'
'Well then, there's only one thing to do then... We'll have to take these things down before they set them on!' Rei replied staring her companions who nodded in approval.
'Should we go all together to take them down one by one?' Makoto asked turning to see the besieged city, sunken in that unnatural darkness.
'No, there's not enough time. We'll have to split and try to destroy them as soon as we can. Maybe if we manage to take down a few of those things we'll slow down the process if they're working as a circuit.' Ami suggested as her friends were preparing their pens and lockets to transform.
'That's a big "if"...'Venus thought as they set on their way to face their destinies.

Kaioh Manor</i>

'These fuckers!' Ookami roared as she sprinted trough Kaioh Manor's garden followed closely by Haruka and Michiru. 'They were just playing with us!' She grunted as Hinomi and Setsuna were after them.
'What are these things?' Haruka as ked as Ookami had come to a halt to analyze the situation.
'They're making their move? This isn't like the one they did in Heliopolis...' Hinomi observed as the Pillars started to glow.
'Well, that's because they are almost intelligent and tried to surprise us...' Ookami observed as her eyebrow were frowning very tightly. 'And unfortunately they have managed in doing so... '
'How come?' Haruka asked at once. 'Explain yourself!'
'These Dark Pillars act like beacons for their grunts, storing the most energy it can drain from the invaded world. Once their charge is full, they use that energy to open a portal in the sky allowing the Stalker horde to travel to the destination they want to obliterate, wich is sadly, your city.' Ookami said addressing to Haruka and Michiru.
'So, they're making their final move?' Hotaru asked confused as the darkness veil covered the city.
'No, this is their opening number; their main event is a hundred times worse.' Ookami replied as Hinomi gasped in awe. 'Still I'm amazed to see all of these Pillars in a single place... Lord Prat must be really annoyed after what we did down there.'
'What a mean people! We can't let them do whatever they want! We have to protect our Tokyo!' Hinomi cried confidently as Ookami merely chuckled.
'You're starting to sound like Tiny...'
'Hinomi-san is right; we'll have to get to work.' Setsuna nodded in approval as they grasped hands.
'Still I must warn you... You need to gather a large amount of energy and focus it in a single point to disable the pillar harmlessly; otherwise it might explode in your face, killing you, the stupid moron taking care of that thing, all their pets, your own pets, family, teacher, lawyer and almost three quarters of this city at once... but don't worry I know you'll manage to do it.' Ookami said looking at each other's face.
'Anything else we need to know?' Haruka asked sarcastically.
'Don't die... and I mean it.' Ookami replied as she sprinted outside the garden.
'Well, we know she's rash and impulsive, but all of these who still believe in setting a plan before acting...' Haruka asked to the remaining girls.
'It's quite possible that each one of these Pillars has some protection...' Setsuna commented lowering her head as Hotaru adressed to Haruka.
'So, you think we should split?' The young girl asked.
'Definitively... We know that that woman is heading for Dumpling and her daughter.' Haruka replied. 'The question is... where are heading all the other girls?'
'Yes, they are moving and spreading too...'  Michiru replied as she stared down at her mirror. 'It's a bit faint due all of this dark energy... but I can see them moving on.'
'Then we should do the same...' Setsuna suggested to her four companions who nodded in contentment.
'Then I'm off to help them!' Hinomi replied sprinting away as the other four girls still remained on their place.
'So should we split away too?' Hotaru asked to Haruka. Who negated shaking her head.
'No, if we stick together we can have a higher chance to defeat the Acolyte than if we're in our own...' Haruka replied heading towards the city's east. 'And having a chance to break down one of those.' She finishes pointing at the Pillars in the city landscape.
'But what about the rest of them?' Michiru asked looking at Haruka's face.
'I know those girls might seem soft... but when the moment comes, they can handle anything...' She replied, trusting in those girls with all the might of her heart.

Juuban High School

Most of the remaining students and staff at Juuban High School had already fled to their homes after the initial shock of seeing a cursed sky cover an otherwise perfect day, yet a single person remained at the facility's roof, staring the dreadful spectacle with a vacant and emotionless expression.
'What are you up to now, Caerentus?' Tenshi asked himself leaning over the fence. 'Are you so desperate to get your prize that you might take the risk of killing one of the Keepers?' Tenshi was about to leave the place as a voice from below startled him, with great caution and stealth he stared down at the school's courtyard, there wasn't anyone else at the school, or so he believed as two figures sprinted outside the main door running towards the outside fence. One of them, the tallest managed to pass the smaller one as he had stopped to turn and talk to another person still out of sight.
'Come on Yaten! We have to fight!' Seiya yelled to his brother at the school's gate as Taiki sprinted outside the courtyard and managed to stop at the fence.
'It's Kinmoku all over again... when Galaxia attacked...' Yaten replied suppressing a terrible memory of his home city being ravaged by the evil Sailor and her minions.
'Yaten...' Seiya mumbled walking to his brother who didn't had moved an inch from his place. 'This time it's different...' Seiya spoke softly extending a hand towards him as Taiki had returned to them.
'In what way? Don't you dare to tell me that we have your beloved Usagi-chan... because that's not enough... not enough....' Yaten retorted gloomily as Seiya stopped in shock. 'They'll destroy this place and then will take over everything... there's no escape of this! No escape at all!' He added in an angered shout mixed with fear.
'Yaten...' Seiya mumbled as Taiki grabbed his arm.
'Leave him... we have a fight awaiting us.' Taiki said calmly as he tried to drag Seiya away. 'You might leave if you want, it's up to you Yaten.'
'What, are you fighting too? I believed you also didn't want to!' Yaten screamed back.
'And I still believe so... but I'd hate even more to be here doing noting because I have doubts about it.' Taiki replied as Seiya kept on staring at Yaten as if he had met him for the first time. 'Don't you remeber? That Meatball Head is annoying, a klutz easily distracted, a bit fatty and the best chance we have. If I hadn't watched her defeat Sailor Galaxia I'd still have my doubts, but that's not the case...'
'Besides, we have Ookami-san and Hinomi-chan! They're the Keepers! That's got to count for something.' Seiya added in a smile extending his hand towards Yaten who stared them back with an scared expression.
'You do realize this is a total madness?'
  'Totally.' Taiki replied nodding.
  'And we might die here...'
'No we won't... because we're the best of Kinmoku and we have to do our part too! So what do you say?' Seiya asked energetically extending his hand again. 'Ready to save the universe once again?'
Yaten hesitated as Taiki coughed muttering something that sounded like The Princess.
'And we're not alone; somewhere our princess is giving her best to help us all!' Seiya added with a big grin in his face.
'I... I give up... But I'm telling you... if something bad happens to me, I'll come back from the death to haunt your dreams!' Yaten replied poking Seiya's chest as Taiki grinned even more widely.
'Now, now Mr, Grinch... keep up the good spirit and well be out of this mess in no time!' The tall boy said with an altive smug in his face as Seiya merely chuckled as he followed them.
As the Threelights disappeared trough the school's gate Tenshi kept on staring the silhouette of the besieged city, most of the screaming had already faded as an unnatural silence began to rise instead.
'The calm before the tempest...' He mumbled as he walked away back to his place. 'This isn't my fight, not yet anyway' Tenshi thought remembering his main order.

*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*

'Only under the full authorization of the Water Keeper you should make a direct contact with the Ruler of the Silver Moon. Should you break this commitment or you allow yourself to be identified as a part of the Nuagian Alliance by a member of the Dark Judgment Army you'll be endangering our whole system... Is that clear, Captain Kingsea?' Asked one of the three Great Generals among the remaining Captains.
'Yes, Sir.' Angel replied calmly staring at the floor as Lieutenant Katherine remained silently at his side.
'And remember, once we've managed to secure a route for her safe arrival, the Water Keeper will arrive to your location and will join the Moon Family in this crisis and put an end to it, is it clear?' Asked the Second General.
' Yes, Milady. He replied again without even blinking.

*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*

'It's like that place... Tenshi remembered the city he had arrived that fateful day... '
'This silence is so unnatural... eerie. He hesitated taking the pendant in his pocket.
'Would you follow the orders or you'll act following your heart, Uncle... Anya Even if that would cause you more problems?' He asked looking at the cold jewel in his hand, a soft breeze came from the ocean stroking his face.

Sendaizaka Hills

'I don't like this...' Sailor Mars mumbled as she walked down the streets, most of the people lay unconscious in the streets as a unnatural mist covered the asphalt, covering her feet, little fog clouds faded after each one of her steps, just to be formed again in matter of seconds. For a split second she had the unpleasant sensation that someone was following her steps and watching every single of her moves as a distant car alarm was set on. The loud sound made her turn around, forcing her to have dreadful thoughts as she noticed it was just a confused cat that had just landed over an abandoned car.
'This thing just affects regular humans...' she observed as the cat prowled over the car's roof. She walked on a few more blocks getting closer to her target, noticing the absence of fainted people in her path, that wasn't a good omen in any way. Allowing herself a moment of relax, a feat considering the situation, she allowed her training as a priestess and her unnatural talent to analyze the scene, looking for something, if that was possible, unusual. At once she could feel the weakened energy of the people hidden among the fog. No peculiar sensation or aggressive feeling arose among them. Over here and there were a few more stray animals: dogs and cats mostly, but she also noticed a few rats climbing the trees as most birds were flying away the place, commanded by their natural instincts. For a moment she thought on Phobos and Deimos as she noticed a few magpies leaving the street. Silence fell over the street again, as the car alarm faded after a few seconds, sending her again to that unnatural silent Tokyo, but no Stalker or Acolythe was found in her way.
A faint wind ran through the streets as she was getting closer to her goal, above her, Phobos and Deimos's croaking followed her on each step as she was getting closer to the alien artifact. Sailor Mars stopped almost at once realizing a mistake she had made earlier on her path. As fast as she could she ran through the street before leaping to a brick wall as a rather peculiar sound came from earth itself.
Several Stalkers rose their heads above the fog, their eyes met the Sailor ones as they had already lost their precious advantage over the girl. Sailor Mars returned them a look with equal distain as she decided to ran across the ceilings as the creatures, with large claws and abnormally short arms leapt from the ground and began to chase her in a frenetic race.
'Of course, rats were leaving the sewers because of these Stalkers!' She thought as she made a large leap across two houses as the creatures, barely suitable for such chase began to fall from the ceilings and getting left behind. 'The Pillars can't be that far!' she thought as she set her eyes again on her path, but she almost fell to the ground as well due a sudden stop. Hovering before the pillar were a large swarm of winged Stalkers awaiting for her as several more, agile and nimble formed a barricade on the nearby ceilings and trees.
'Welcome to my Pillar, Sailor Scout.' Greeted a young man standing before this horde of demons; his face was slightly sharp as the one of a woman's as his ears definitively weren't human at all.
'He looks like an elf...' Mars let her imagination fly away remembering a person disguised as one of these creatures she saw on a mall last Christmas.
'I'm afraid that I can't let you move forward, unless of course you manage to defeat my cursed beasts and me, of course.' Said the man standing straight once again and staring the confused girl as his Stalkers began to grown and hiss, making it the most intimidating nose the girl had ever heard.
'Step away, I just want to take down that thing.' Mars replied pointing at the Pillar. The creatures roared in defiance at the girl as their master rose a single hand, forcing them to go silent.
'I'm afraid I can't let that happen, not when Master Caerentus is at the edge of victory!' The man replied repressing a giggle at the naive comment of the Scout. 'Like I've told you, just in case you're stubborn enough to not listen to me, you'll need to defeat all of my loyal Stalkers...' he said extending a hand, the creatures began to move at this signal. 'The dreaded beasts of the Abyss if you even want to try your luck against me, Orion the Mighty Beast Slayer!'
The Stalker swarm began to fly against the girl as the land creatures charged leaping over the ceilings against the amazed Scout.
'FIRE SOUL!' Mars attacked at the incoming horde, as several of the airborne creatures dodged it, leaving their weaker partners to be incinerated by the Scout's fireball as the Stalkers coming from the ceiling attacked with all its might. Mars managed to dodge several of the creatures as one seized an opportunity and grabbed her arm with a long claw like hand. Mars grunted in pain as the claw started to crush her arm, she needed to move fast and several words rose in her head.
'Rin... Byu... Tu... Sha... Kai... Jin... Retsu... Zai... Zen.... AKURYO TAISAN!' She yelled as she released one of her holy ofudas in the beast's arm.
Growling in despair as the holy talisman began to turn it into ashes, the beast released Mars's arm after managing to deliver a deep cut in her arm, ripping her gloves as a few blood drops fell to the ceiling she was standing in.
'A mantra? Great... So you have a few tricks under your sleeves!' Orion mocked at her as the second horde began to attack, even more excited due the scent of the girl's fresh blood. 'I would like to have a look at them all, but I believe you're done for!'

Juuban Commercial District

The spreading swarm of Stalkers fell to the city in the midst of a cacophony of yells, cries, loud bangs and cracking glasses. From place to place people dashed away as the creatures sneered and cackled over the terror of Tokyo's citizens. The flying Stalkers enjoyed their vicious game in wich they grabbed an innocent bystander lifting them up to the sky, before dropping them to the ground and the awaiting horror. Some others dashed among the fleeing multitude hitting and mugging anyone they pleased as from a corner a cop appeared using only his club as a weapon to protect the innocent. If the Stalkers enjoyed terrorizing and abusing from the common citizen, they had a special treatment to all the persons like this cop, deploying their worse techniques and taking these people's lives as if they were a present for them.
'OVER HERE!' yelled Yamato, the boy from Juuban's Kendo club to some people being chased by almost a dozen of the horrible fiends from the staircase that would lead them to the underground subway's safety as his girlfriend was squealing in terror, the boy turned almost immediately after hearing the girl's scream: a new Stalker had appeared from nowhere and was holding her as its hostage.
'My... she has a pretty neck... I wonder what could happen if I...' The Stalker mumbled clearly mocking Yamato with his eyes as it was pressing his claw against the girl's neck.
'Ayumi...' Yamato mumbled before being grasped by one of the attacking creatures, wich seized their opportunity. The boy was trashing and kicking his captor as hard as he could , but to the beast the boy's attacks were just tickles from a desperate prey.
'Say goodbye vermin.' Said the stalker holding Yamato as it began to increase the strength on its grasp, the boy yelled in pain as the girl was sobbing in despair. The rest of the Stalkers were chasing the people over the street as their screams began to fade in Yamato's ears.
'I'm... I'm so sorry... Ayumi-san' He thought as a single tear fell from his eye.
'YAMATO-SAN!' Ayumi cried as her captor suddenly released her.
'What?' The other Stalker asked confused as he turned around looking for the person responsible of that incident, finding another young dark haired man aiding Ayumi to stand up, the eyes of the youngster were fierce and filled or rage as another group of kids were next to him all of them wielding their respective shinais.
'If you mess with one of the members of our team, you're messing with us all.' Izumi taunted the creature holding their team mate as he was extending his blade towards the alien.
'Ha! And what do you expect to do against me using a stick like that?' The Stalker replied still holding its hostage as the surrounding people was trying to hide inside buildings, alleys and the underground.
'A crazy Yankee once told me: 'No matter the circumstances, a swordsman must be able to perform his art successfully. And I'm about to honor that teaching, fag.' Izumi replied taking his sword to battle position and the rest of the team formed a circle protecting each other's back and Ayumi as the Stalkers had noticed these brave and crazy boys surrounding them.
'And I was expecting to have onabe for dinner today...' Takato cried as a couple of stalkers were staring at him, drawing its claws.
'I want you to see this, vermin...' The Stalker hissed at Yamato's ear. 'See how your stupid friends die before your eyes and how you're unable to help them.
'Go...away you guys' Yamato mumbled as the Stalkers surrounding the team were getting closer.
'Focus your aura, find the peace of your soul and then strike your foe with all your might releasing your aura.' Izumi thought as his eyes were reading the incoming creature's movement.
The Stalker moved forward as its companions were just circling the boys cutting them any possible exit.
'TSUKI!' Yelled Izumi releasing a faint battle aura against the Stalker, this sudden display from a human made the creature lose it's focus as the wooden blade stroke the Stalker's neck, making it faint almost immediately.
'FOR GLORY AND VICTORY!' Yelled Takato charging against his Stalkers holding his shinai as the rest of the team did the same, taking the creatures out of balance. Here and there the Stalkers received, if not serious, accurate strikes that made them stagger or even drop them to their knees before realizing what was going on.
'YOU IDIOTS, THEY'RE JUST SCUM!' shouted the Stalker holding Yamato, loosening the grip on the boy, who seized his chance by stomping at the creature's foot, forcing it to release him. Yamato dashed to aid Ayumi as his captor realized that he had just lost it's hostage.
'Fine then, I'll send you all stupid kids to hell!' it roared unleashing a powerful wind gust , sending the boys away, over several places the team were scattered as their modest wooden blades were released from their hands.
'My dogs! Stand back and cut their throats!' snarled the leader of these Stalkers as his minions were getting back to their senses. Their blood thirst was reflected on their eyes as the boys were petrified on their places. A Stalker drew closer to Takato as the rest was closing in.
A bluish dagger flew over the air, stabbing the creature straight on its chest, killing it immediately. Takato panted as a second array of daggers flew over his head, leaving a trail of frost stabbing a second stalker and disabling a third one.
'What the...?' Izumi asked himself as the Stalkers were looking at the source of the daggers, but there was no one over that spot.
'What's going on?' asked another member of the team as the Stalkers were now wary and looking all around them, analyzing every single tree, abandoned car and corner where a possible attacker could be hiding.
'THERE!' yelled the leader unleashing his wind, wich was strong enough to turn up a car, as a shadow leapt away from the place. The remaining Stalkers charged against the shadow as it landed, turning his back from them.
Clack... The sound of a unseating sword echoed inside Izumi's ears. But that was no ordinary sword.
'Santiago doesn't like you... and neither do I, you vermin.' Spoke a man standing up and turning against them as fast as a lightning.
A silvery stream erupted from the sword after the man's whisper.
'Water Blade.' He said unleashing a powerful attack wich obliterated the attacking creatures.
'It's you!' cried the remaining Stalker, not believing that his troop was defeated that easily by a single man. 'The Intruder!'
'You're no match for me, so why don't you bring one of your precious Acolythes, that way I might get to put up a little more effort.' Said the man staring the stalker with his icy cold eyes. His golden hair waved under a breeze s the boys were gathering next to the entrance to the underground passages of the subway.
'Who is that guy?' Takato asked as he noticed the navy blue coat of the man.
'I don't know, but I'm happy that he's on our side!' Yamato replied as he took his girlfriend's hand pulling her to safety.
'Vermin!' shouted the remaining Stalker unleashing it's wind against the man. 'Die!'
'Swift Blizzard' Replied the man extending his hand unleashing a powerful icy blast wich caused a rain of snowflakes to fall over the place.
'Damn you, bastard!' yelled the Stalker increasing his attack to its maximum level as its opponent didn't even tried to do the same as their attacks were still on the same position.
'I can't waste my time with you, I have a real mission to fulfill.' The man replied at once, releasing the true strength of his attack. The Stalker cried in horror as his own attack was dispelled by the one of the swordsman before it and even before it could gasp in surprise, its breath, blood and muscles were turned to ice.
'That was... wicked!' Izumi said leaping from his hideout as the man turned away towards the city downtown.
'You go home...' The man replied. 'Wait until this is over.'
'No!, I want to go with you these guys are messing with my city and I won't let them to do whatever they want!' Izumi replied a bit angered as his companions had returned to see what was holding him back.
'This is beyond your capabilities, kid. You'll endanger yourself if you come along with me.' The man replied turning to see these boys. There was a strange feeling among them when they stared these serene icy eyes: it was fear? No, it was something entirely different: It was understanding... they knew they could trust the old man as he stored his weapon. And for once, Izumi nodded as he turned to enter the safety of the subway.
'What are you doing?' Takato asked as Izumi passed him by. 'We can fight!'
'No... We have to stay safe like he asked us to... if you run away, you can live one more day.' Izumi replied climbing down the stairs as the man walked away from them into the mayhem. Stranged the rest of the boys followed him as his mind was racing trough his memories at an amazing speed.
'I've faced many people in my life, but only one other person shared that trust in his own skills...' He remembered it happening almost two months ago.
'Sorry for pushing you away from this kids, but I'm not willing to lose any other member of my team.' Angel thought as he gave one last look at the entrance of the subway. 'Now I have to destroy these Pillars before it's too late.'
Letting his breath ease after the combat and focusing his mind, he let his supernatural senses to perceive what was going on. The peculiar aura energy of each Sailor was separating from the group. The Moon Princess was close to the Pillar in the Downtown, of course, her cousin and the Prince would aid her in case of any problem with the Stalkers or the Acolythes. The fiery aura of Sailor Mars was close to the pillar that was near to the temple, their center of operations. Jupiter and Venus were heading towards the Pillars that appeared in opposite sides of the city and the one heading towards the harbor area was Sailor Mercury as the rest of the Sailors were spreading trough the city. Angel focused his senses toward each Pillar taking enough time to analyze the subtle energy of each Acolythe waiting in its base, but after a few moments his eyes rose to stare the dark slender shape gleaming against the darkened sky.

Tokyo Downtown.

'So quiet...' Sailor Moon commented as she walked over the park before the City Hall as Chibimoon followed her steps closely keeping an eye open for any unusual movement. Several minutes had passed since the beginning of the attack, wich was enough to turn Usagi in a shaking jelly, but the lack of any other enemy move:  Stalkers, a message in the sky or an illusion was even more stressful; not even the alien structures had any peculiar chance since their apparition as they remained immovable in their landing spots.
'Odd...' Sailor Moon mumbled as they were getting closer to the pillar. 'I don't see any of these men or women...'
'Well, be careful then, we might just have entered a trap and we don't even know about it.' Chibimoon replied as she leveled next to her mother as their destination was just passing a tree groove. 'Fishy...' She mumbled coming to a halt.
'Definitively this is not a good sign...' Sailor Moon mumbled as she also stopped just behind her daughter as she noticed what had made Chibiusa to stop: an arc of Lightning rising from the ground to the top of the pillar as over two dozens of Land Stalkers were standing guard in a perfect circle watching over the Pillar as some few more were flying over the clear the pillar had made on its landing.
'Beautiful, aren't they Sailor Scouts?' Helena mumbled from a nearby tree on their backs, Moon and Chibimoon turned in surprise as Helena carried on. 'My Stalkers, brilliant and faithful creatures; feared by the ignorant, shunned by the cowards and the weak. Only people with true vision can appreciate them by their attributes, more than their looks.... Wich one are you Sailor Moon and Sailor Chibimoon?'
'You!' Chibimoon snarled at her as Sailor Moon had placed between her daughter and their enemy. 'You've hurted Helios!'
'I don't get it, Dark Moon defeated you in Elysion!' Moon cried staring at the woman, Helena laughed at them, yet her laughter was too far from being a real one.
'Oh, my dear silly and stupid girl... she'll need to put up even more effort to do accomplish that feat.' Helena replied as her mouth curled in a self-sufficient smug. 'A true blood thirsty warrior would confirm their kill, but you're soft and that softness will be your doom!' she cried conjuring a wind ball in her hands. 'WIND EDGE!!' She cried unleashing the wind ball that turned to a large blade against the two girls. As they rolled and jumped out of harm, they noticed how a nearby bench and several trees had being sliced clean half by the attack.
'What's that?' Sailor Moon cried as Helena laughed at them.
'The Sharp Wind of Alestria, our world is merciless, not even solid rock can escape to its punishment, only those of hard will and a strong heart can master it... those top Acolytes, like me...' Helena said as she walked close to the two girls.
'Scissors?' Chibimoon asked as Sailor Moon was still staring at Helena.
'What, you want to cut now?' Sailor Moon asked back as their enemy raised her hand again, 'We're in the middle of something important here!'
'Oh boy..'Chibimoon cried annoyed as another wind ball appeared on Helena's hand.
'LAND SCOURGE!' She cried unleashing a powerful air whip mashing the place where Sailor Moon had been lying until a few seconds ago.
' That was just as heavy as Hotaru-chan's Pressure Wall...' Chibimoon thought as Helena turned to face them again, a vicious expression crossed her face as she unleashed a powerful wind wave, sending both screaming girls through the air as if they were leaves caught in a breeze.
'Scared?' Helena asked walking toward both Scouts as they tried to stand up again, as the crash had been a serious one. 'You should, because this time we're real about it.'
'We're not giving up...' Sailor Moon Mumbled as Chibimoon tried desperately to stand again. 'No matter how hard you attack us, we'll always manage to get up to stand before terrible persons like you...' Moon said as she was on her feet once again.
'Tenacious until the end... How amusing...' Helena replied as her lips curled in a wide grin. 'I'd love to see how long it takes to break you down... Or your friends.' She finished as her eyes displayed a maleficent glint on them.
'What are you talking about?' Moon asked as Chibimoon had managed to rise again and joined her mother once again before the Acolythe.
'As we are having this amusing chat, these pillars are gathering from your planet all the energy necessary to work...' Helena said extending her hand to the Pillar still guarded by her cronies. 'And once they manage to get the right amount of energy, they'll make a rift in space, allowing our hordes to land in your precious little city and then not even you could stand a chance against our full power!' The woman finished pointing at both girls.
'We'll see about that!' Chibimoon yelled back. 'I'm not willing to let a horrible woman like you to defeat us!'
'That could have been a little bit over the board, Chibi-chan...' Moon replied a bit scared as Helena's frown formed a single line over her eyes.
'Fine then, you two believe you have the power to face me in a fight? Let's find out the result, shall we? And for your information, I don't give a damn what happens to this place... so if you're really that anxious to save your beloved city...' Helena said unleashing a powerful wind wave that managed to break the windows from the nearby buildings. 'You'll better do it fast!' She yelled as a couple of tornadoes came down to the ground.

Tokyo Bay Harbor.

The eerie and ominous black clouds in the red sky kept on curling and glowing, as the light of the nearby Pillar indicated Sailor Mercury that she was getting closer to her target walking cautiously.
'This is it... she mumbled as she was about 100 meters away from her target. 'It doesn't look that dangerous from here...
'OK guys, I'm close to my target... guys?' Mercury asked using her wrist communicator, receiving noise as response. 'It must be the energy of the pillar that's disrupting our communications...' she mumbled a bit worried as the target remained still, glowing harmlessly in the middle of the complex maze of warehouses and ship workshops, she hadn't crossed a single living being in her way inside this place as her intuition was telling her to be extra wary.

*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*

'A Scout is here...' Mumbled a man in the base of the pillar as a few stalkers that were surrounding him standed up excited, like a pack of wolves about to take on their prey.
'Should we dispose of that scum, my Lord?' Asked a woman with an exquisite dress and she could have passes as a human, except for the fact she was made entirely out of metal.
'No, I shall deal with her personally, after all she's a worthy warrior and deserves a proper sendoff.' The man replied walking towards the girl as he drew his enormous sword.

*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*

'I've got to take down this thing as fast as I can, and then I might go somewhere else and help anyone else of the girls...' Mercury thought as she dashed towards her destination, when a sudden lightning bolt forced her to leap back.
'You're pretty brave for coming alone here, Sailor Scout...' Ganimides spoke with his booming voice, staring down the girl from a top of a warehouse.
'You're the Swordsman... Ganimides!' Mercury replied staring her opponent... the physical differences couldn't be anymore obvious: while the Sailor was a young, short, thin girl dressed with a Sailor Suit, the man was a tall, hulking being, with several age lines drawn in his face and a full battle armor ready to protect his Pillar.
'And you're... Mercury, am I wrong?' Ganimides replied with a malicious smirk and a bow. ' Mercury growled tightening her fists as her legs were preparing to make a move.
'I must say, I'm sort of disappointed, Sailor Mercury...' Ganimides spoke again, as Mercury narrowed her eyes trying to focus on her actual goal. 'I expected any other Sailor Scout but you...'
'Well, it doesn't matter, because I'm taking down that thing and prove you wrong!' she replied pointing at the Pillar
'Really? Then, if you want to do such thing, you'll need to defeat me first!' Ganimides replied taking an offensive position.
Mercury analyzed the scenario as fast as she could, noticing that the man didn't moved an inch as well.
The first move is decisive for a match, because it might set the pace for the rest of it...' Mercury remembered her chess lessons with her grandpa. The black sky began to howl as several lightings stroke down the earth.
'WOOOOOOOOH!' Ganimides yelled as he charged towards Mercury as fast as a stampeding bull, as she avoided a direct hit by tumbling away. Mercury fell to the floor, but even before she could turn back to see her enemy's condition, a dread sensation took over her as she noticed the man's blade really close to her face.
"Shame… such a pretty jewel like you will be crushed..." Ganimides said with a faint tone of sorrow in his voice as Mercury's eyes widened in surprise. The enormous man raised his sword, delivering a deadly blow against the surprised Scout.
